Could you give me some more examples, please?
Describing something that happened (event, activity) and was very good, I usually say "Oh, it was awesome!" or "it was amazing!"
Could I say "it was potent?' or it sound odd?
Could you give me some more examples how could i express that it was awesome?

Hi,
One would never say "it was potent" in everyday speech unless describing something as powerful. The use of awesome is now common in British English however it still comes across as if you're trying to American when using it!
Amazing is used often, as is fantastic, fierce, excellent, superb, let me I've you an example.
The Queen recently attended a fashion show and sat next to Dame Anna Winton on the front row whilst watching the Richard Quinn collection. As the models began to walk down the catwalk the queen turned to Anna and said "oh my! Look at those heels they are so fierce" Anna who is a real American responded by saying "I agree your majesty, they look awesome"
After the fashion show the Queen made a speech in which she praised the wonderfully creative use of excellent British textiles that made up the collection. She went on to say that she'd had a fantastic time sitting on the front row and the day had been truly a superb experience.
I hope that helps you. There are so many adjectives that can be used and the examples I gave you are basic. English is such a rich language and commanding the use of adjectives will enhance your writing and conversation.
Kind regards
Craig

"It was potent" - you're right. It sounds odd.
"It was awesome/amazing" can be used in a lot of scenarios such as concerts, movies, theme parks, travel, experiences, etc.
