For example, when you're driving a car, running, working or writing. How should I say 'speed up' and 'slow down'? :)

Slow down -> 慢一点 / 慢点

and you can put your verb （action） in front of it, such as '跑快一點!' means 'Run faster!' , 
'開慢一點' means 'Drive slowerly'.
