"What was we discussing?" or "What were we discussing?" Which one?

I/he/she/it was we/you/they were

2nd one is correct. You'd have to change the first to: "What was it we were discussing?" to make it correct as well.

Second one because we means more than one person so were will be used. Was is for singular

hi. What were we discussing? is correct. first sentence is not correct because "we" . thank you.
