Use of English B2. For All Exams) arrive get reach come approach appear I am thinking of choosing "come". What would you choose? Why? Thank you!

The answer is "arrived." Grammatically, "get" would be turned into "got" but you would need to add more words for it to work. It's also already used in the sentence once and word variation makes for a more interesting sentence. "Reached" is a good choice but in this sentence it doesn't make sense. It often implies feelings like "contact" or "to connect" but can also mean "made it as far as..." The theater is the final destination so none of these quite fit. I would choose another. "Arrived" is perfect here. In this context your presence is required at a place and "to arrive" means just that. It says "I got (to the theater), which is your final and intended destination. This is without a doubt the right answer. I hope this helps! ~mC

Come would be the right verb, but it would be conjugated in the past tense, “came”. Arrive would also work, but that too should be in past tense, “arrived.” I believe the most common usage, though would be “got” but with the addition of “there”, hence “got there”.
