"In such case" or "in such A case" - Which is correct in this context?
Hi friends,
Should it be "In such case" or "in such a case"? Which is correct in the following context? Is "a" needed?
1) In such case, the Head of Department shall make necessary arrangement to inform the respective employee in writing.
2) In such a case, the Head of Department shall make necessary arrangement to inform the respective employee in writing.
Thanks in advance,
Niwantha

Both your examples are correct, apart from needing.to add an article to make 'the necessary arrangement'; also, usually this would be plural, i.e. 'the arrangements.
'In such case' is rare, and generally only used in formal language, i.e. exactly such a context as this. There is a very thorough description of the question here: https://english.stackexchange.com/questions/198941/in-such-case-and-in-such-a-case/199043#199043
Jello's suggestion 'such cases' is also correct; you now have three possible wordings.

In such cases ( it refers to several situations that are the same/ plural)
In such a case ( You have mentioned a situation before, and you refer to it / singular)
