What does "his face snapped up" mean?
I've searched it online but the only definition I found doesn't fit the context.
The whole paragraph is the following: "The cloaked figure’s face snapped up and glared around at us. It was clear that he was seething with anger."

i agree with John, the writing is a bit strange. It sounds like the cloaked figure was looking down, then his head snapped up, which means changed position suddenly from looking down to straight up and looking straight out. Usually a head snaps up, not a face.

I think it means to move suddenly (his face moved up suddenly). In my opinion the writing is a bit strange...

It means that his face rose to face forward quickly. "snapped up" means to do something quickly.
