Hello could you help me please? Hello By another confusing preposition problem, I am stuck. The example is : The little child counted eight on his fingers. I think one should have used with or by(for imbuing the meaning of a tool) not on. I know count verb is usually followed by the preposition on like for instance, I count on you which is a different usage of count in the former one so I am wondering why one used that proposition.
