"in the paper"or "on the paper"
What's the difference between "in the paper" and “on the paper”？
Are they both correct？
Could you give me some examples?

He read the paper (newspaper)
He read something IN the paper (Newspaper)
This is a strange kind of paper, there is something (like bits of wood or plastic embedded) IN it.
