Spanish Vocabulary Question My son has started going to a Spanish immersion pre-school. I’m trying to do my part at home by speaking to him the best I can as Spanish is not my first language. We live in Texas so Mexican Spanish has a big influence here. I’d like to know how to say: Snack Lunchbox In a way that would probably be used most in my region or in Mexico. I have heard “bocadillo” and “merienda” for snack but not sure which one is more common and if “merienda” is dated or is set-in-stone specific to a snack eaten in the afternoon. And is Lunchbox really “Caja de almuerzo” or is Google Translate just doing a horrible job??? Thanks!
