It has Hebrew origins and is not a 'common' word in English. Best to get a pronunciation from a Hebrew speaker or a Hebrew/English speaker otherwise you risk getting a pronunciation that's way off from from what it really is.

I’m not completely sure, but I believe it is a form of Yoav. English version: Joab, Chinese 约押. For Hebrew, the Y is read the same as in English and Hanyu Pinyin. Yoav is a name from the Hebrew Bible, however I believe it is typical in Israel to choose Biblical names for their sound or other reasons, not necessarily thinking about the Biblical reference.
