We call this "wind chimes" in the US. We say it is "tinkling" if it is made of small pieces of light metal and makes a peaceful, musical sound: http://stuffcountrypeoplelike.files.wordpress.com/2008/04/windchime.jpg We say it is "plinking" if it is made of small, light pieces of glass: http://www.purplepomegranate.com/blog/uploaded_images/grmobiles-799716.jpg We say it is "clinking" if it is larger pieces that are made of glass or small shells, etc., instead of metal: http://honewatson.com/wp-content/blogs.dir/thumbs/2007/01/storesea-shell-wind-chimes/sea-shell-wind-chimes410ok.jpg We say it is "rattling" if the pieces are made of large shells or pieces of light wood (e.g., bamboo), etc.: http://www.vat19.com/blog/sea-shell-wind-chimes-tacky.jpg https://www.auntsharonsattic.com/store//catalog/images/39713.jpg We say it is "clacking" if it is made of heavier pieces of wood: http://z.about.com/d/woodworking/1/0/2/6/-/-/WindChime_Gallery.jpg We say it is "clanging" or "clanking" if it has quite large, metal pieces. http://stuffcountrypeoplelike.files.wordpress.com/2008/04/windchime.jpg
