In the following sentence, why 이 분이 is not 이 분께서? Does it correct?
I know 께서 and 께서는 is Honorific subject marker.께서 replaces 이/가 and 께서는 replaces 은/는 in honorific Korean language. However, in Korean books, I often encounter the following sentence:
- 이 분이 누구세요?
- 이 분이 김 선생님이세요?
In the example above, 이 분이 is not correct because it must be 이 분께서, right? Can you help me to understand it. Thank you!

'이분이' is also correct but '이분께서' is more polite and formal.

Hi! I’m also learning Korean! But to my understanding, 이 본이 is not necessarily incorrect.. it works in terms of meaning and function but 이 본께서 would be more ‘correct’ and that you’re being even more polite to whoever you’re speaking about..
