Few bucks worth of..... dont understand this sentence
Quarters, dimes, nickels, everything came showering out of the bus windows. I think the fact that they could throw something at me also made it fun for the bullies. So the bus pulled away and I picked up a few bucks’ worth of spare change from the bottom of the driveway.

Bucks is American English Slang for Dollars..
"A FEW BUCKS." = "A few Dollars."
"So the bus pulled away and I picked up 'A FEW DOLLARS' worth of spare change from the bottom of the driveway."
"Spare change" = "A Small amount of Coin money"= "A few Pennies, nickels, dimes, quarters".. Often coin money left over from a Cash based transaction...

Bucks are dollars..the term comes from traders who dealt in buck (male deer) skin. A buck is a dollar though. Change that adds up to a dollar is a buck's worth.
