Is the word “aim” used in the active voice or passive voice? Is the word “aim” used in the active voice or passive voice? Thank you. Here are some examples: 1 The reservation system is aimed at reducing the wait time for passengers and providing them with a better riding experience. 2 The forum aims to explore the actions and experiences of relevant parties in implementing the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. 3 The draft, published by the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC), aims at accelerating the creation of a stable, fair, transparent and predictable business environment. In sentence 1, may I use "The reservation system aims to reduce ......" to replace "The reservation system is aimed at reducing....." ?

In sentences 2 and 3, aim is used as an active verb. In sentence 1, is still an active verb, but it looks different because it is being used as a transitive verb. Great work on these! Keep it up!

In sentence number 1, "aims at" is used correctly. In sentence number 3, I would say, " aims TO ACCELERATE, instead of "aims at accelerating." You would use "aims" the same way you did in sentence number 2, aims TO EXPLORE.
