What verbs can be used to collocate with “ interest or curiosity “ , such as “ arouse the interest “
I wonder if it sounds natural to put “ spark / stimulate/ arouse “ together with “ interest / curiosity “ ?
For example ;
A good teacher should know how to arouse / stimulate / spark students’ interest in learning .
That story sparked his curiosity about this little house .
What she said stimulated my interest in learning to play chess .
Do they sound natural in these examples ? Are there any other verbs that can be used to collocate with “ interest or curiosity “ ?
Thanks a lot for your help , I appreciate it a lot .

It seems OK to me.
As far as other verbs go, you can "pique" or even "feed" interests and curiosity. You can also "satisfy" your curiosity.
There are probably lots of other verbs too.

You could also use awake, fire up, incite, inspire, kindle, motivate, perk, pique, provoke, trigger, vitalize, whet, work up.
However, some of these words may be not so commonly used, or some may work slightly better than another word depending on the context. But, all the example words I said should generally work IF we look at your example sentences. Of course these are just a few words, there is a lot more you could use, but again it ultimately depends on the context to make it the most appropriate and suitable. Hope this helps.
