There is also 이승 (this life) which pairs with 저승 (that life = afterlife).  e.g. 저승사자 = The Grim Reaper.

A proverb: 개똥밭에 굴러도 (저승보다) 이승이 좋다 = Even if you wallow in squalor, this life is the good one.
