The difference between: "I am used to doing smth" and "I have been doing smth" Hi there, Would you kindly clarify me the difference between these expressions: "I am used to doing smth" and "I have been doing smth". As far as I understand, they mean: "I am doing it nowadays + I keep doing it for a while". Am I right? For example: I've been reading the book this week. I'm used to reading the book this week. Thank you an advance.

"I am used to doing smth" = I am in the habit of doing something - I am familiar with that activity. e.g. I didn't like driving at first, but now I am used to it. "I have been doing smth" = an activity that I have been doing recently - or until now - and I may be still doing it. - e.g. I have been learning English for 3 years: I have been doing grammar exercises all day (today)
