Be in different shades of red color ?

I'll be really happy if you can help me. My question is if the sentence below is correct and sounds good to a native speaker?
1) They are in different shades of red color.

Better to say:
"They're different shades of red"
OR
"They come in [#] different shades of red" For example, "They come in 5 different shades of red"

It sounds a little weird. I would say "They are in different shades of red."
You could also say, "They are in different shades of the color red," but that sounds really formal.
