Something that you say which means when you cannot have exactly what you want, you must accept whatever you can get.

Hi Jura I am aware, that you know the answer beforehand.Okay,in order to develope a bit further an eloquence of speech.. =) The beggar is widely accepted term for person, who can't sustain in life on his own due to some illneses or other inabilities to work. Therefore he must to ask other people to give him money or food for living. But begging for alms,he couldn't have other options as to accept what has given. An idiom that you mentioned can be applied to little wide variety of circumstances in life.As for example: "I just won a holliday in Praga! I wish it was in Majorca, but beggars can't be choosers I suppose .

Hi, Jura: I guess 'beggars' here can refer to people who are in inferior status, horrid situation. So they have to accept what they're offered, even though they don't like it at all, in order to survive. Not just to survive life, it could be others things. For example, when a job hunting people doesn't have much skill or experience, yet he's in badly need of a job to pay everything. He dosen't have many choices since few would hire him. But when he becomes so experienced as an expert in certain field, then he can make his own choice as to for who and to where, at least more choices compared with when he first started his career. That's what I have in mind. Do you think it makes sense? Looking forward to your comment.

This saying means that people who are in great need must accept any help that is offered, even if it’s not a complete solution to their problems. We have another proverb with an approximate meanining : “The horse that you received as a gift , don’t look at its teeth”

for me..."people of lower classes have to accept anything that they have or they dont have option" here, there can be different explainations for lower class according to different situations and basis of comparison!
