I can tell you about American college life in general. It's been a long time since I went, but I gather from all the young people I talk to that things are about the same. Social life in college in the U.S. is considered very important. This includes going to parties on the weekend. Some young people don't know when to quit. They party all the time and end up failing and being tossed out of college. Those that are successful , but still maintain an active social life learn the valuable lesson that there is a time to study and work and a time to play.
