Hi :) I understand what you're trying to say now, but I still don't agree. English etymology doesn't work with single character interpretation (like Chinese does), because you need to look at each base syllable - which can be up to 3 or 4 characters - to get a meaning. Some languages group their phonemes in syllables. Others use separate characters for each phoneme. The mistake is to confuse the two. As a friendly challenge, I ask you to do an interpretation of "row". Or any homonym of your choice.
