Usually it's to learn about things

As somebody else writes for us, we read. We read to learn, to remember, to feel emotions, to follow a story. We read as we don't gather much around the dining table and listen to stories grandpas used to tell to other generations before us. We read and write when talking is more difficult, just like in this context. We read to fall asleep. We keep a pile of books near the bed so to forget how much alone we are. Will you read this and get much bored ?

Reading books broadens your mind and knowledge base. So does reading blogs and other items on the internet. I would say do a lot of reading, no matter what the source.
