Good morning, can someone give me an example of the idiom "the early bird catches the worm" in a sentence?
And another sentence with "it is like water off a duck's back for somebody", please?

1. I was the first to arrive; the early bird catches the worm, after all.
2. The insult didn't upset him, it was like water off a duck's back.

Hi Marisol
"The early bird gets the worm" means that starting something or getting somewhere early increases the potential outcome.
E.g Marisol's always the first in line and gets most of the offers - the early bird catches the worm!
"It's like water off a duck's back" is a phrase used to refer to a situation (or speech/remark/words etc.) having no effect on the person involved.
E.g The teacher warned her of the bad results of making noise in class but it was like water off a duck's back.
Meaning the warning had no effect on her, she continued making noise.
I hope that's helpful.

Hi there!
As for the first one, you might hear your parents telling you ' c'mon get up now,an early bird catches the worm ' and the second one ' i can't get him to do anything in the house , it's like water off a duck's back '
