Team This vs. Team Next, which are you? Regardless of what the literature says, this has and will always be a debated topic amongst English speakers. Do you say "What are you doing this weekend?" or "What are you doing next weekend?" Team This would have you believe "next" refers not to this weekend but the FOLLOWING weekend. However, Team Next would have you believe the NEXT weekend is the soonest option. I have and will always be a proud member of Team This but will still respect those who choose Team Next 😉
