Hi everybody 👋🏻, I’d like to show you a picture of an amazing sculpture and tell you something about it.
This artwork is in Italy, in the city of Vicenza, and It’s known as “The Fall of the rebel Angels”. It is made of Carrara marble and It represents the fight between the Evil, and his army of demons, against the archangel Michael. The sculpture is composed by sixty figures: each of them is divided from the others but, at the same time, united in an endless fight.
On the top there is the archangel Michael: he has a sword and a shield. On the shield 🛡 you can read this latin phrase “Quis ut Deus”.
