It was showing "Waiting for the client to click on the SMS", but I can't /couldn’t get the SMS, let alone click on it. It's not because /that I don't want to test it, but the first step /stage can't be finished /accomplished, [let alone other steps] /so the procedure cannot be completed.

It's well-written but I've made some suggestions for alternative wording. Better not to repeat 'let alone' - just use it once.
