Hello Nanako! “to wrap up” is a more casual way of saying “to finish”. I often say “to wrap up” instead of “to finish” to sound more friendly.

To ’wrap up’ something, or ’wrap something up’ is a colloquial ie. casual way of saying to finish it. It is only used in speaking, and is informal.

Hi Nanako! How are you? Finish: "To finish, let me add...." "We are going to finish now, so please put down your pens" Wrap up: "To wrap up let me summarize" "Let's wrap this up and go over what we have covered so far" As you can see, wrap up denotes a longer period of time and finish is more immediate. Exactly Thandi wrapping up doesn't mean you are done, it means you are coming to an end of whatever you are doing or whatever is happening.

Wrap up doesn't necessarily mean you are finished
