What is the difference between 行く(ゆく) and 行く(いく)？

Telling Time in German I'm not sure why, but I am highly confused with telling time in German. I understand how military time works(so that obviously isn't the issue) however, I just need clarification. Any assistance? (Thank you in advance)

How to use "when" in Japanese (I am referring to the Genki series book) How would you say: "I often ate hamburgers when I was a child." and "Takeshi did not study much when he was in highschool." I notice that the word "toki" is used for when, but I'm a little confused.
