Ciao a tutti! Ciao italki, come va? Mi chiamo Karen e sono una studantessa Messicana. Sto studiando il settimo semestre della ingegneria informatica. Mi piacciono moltissimo le lingue, specialmente l'inglese, l'italiano e il portoghese. Ma adesso parlo bene solo l'inglese e lo spagnolo. Non mi trovo spesso qua perché ho molte cose da fare ma mi piace troppo italki, è un bellissimo luogho per pratticare le lingue. Allora... ci vediamo! Articolo determinativo e indeterminativo Hice este ejercicio como tarea de italiano, trata del articulo determinativo e indeterminativo. Quisiera saber si lo hice bien, y si no, por favor una corrección. Mis respuestas están escritas en mayúsculas para facilitar la corrección. L'italia è UNA penisola con la forma simile a UNO stivale. GLI italiani sono circa cinquantasette millioni e LE regioni italiane sono venti. L'italiano non è la sola lingua parlata in Italia; ci sono anche IL tedesco, IL francese, IL catallano, IL greco, LO sloveno e L'albanese. Roma, LA capitale d'Italia, si trova nel Lazio: è UNA citta molto bella e i suoi monumenti e musei sono famosi in tutto IL mondo. Dentro LA citta di Roma c'è UNO stato independente, molto piccolo e molto potente, IL Vaticano, centro della religione cattolica. Ma IL Vaticano non è L'unico stato independente in Italia. C'è UN altro stato piccolissimo, vicino al mare Adriatico, in cima a UNA montagna: LO stato di San Marino. Insomma, UNA penisola italiana presenta moltre differenti e UNA grande varieta di culture.

Pronombres personales en italiano Io -> Yo Tu -> Tu lui -> Él lei -> Ela Lei -> Usted Noi -> Nosotros Cuál es la diferencia entre Voi y Loro? No logro entenderla. Ojalá alguien pueda ayudarme con esto. Gracias! Pd: Ya he preguntado a mi profesor de italiano, pero no me ha quedado claro.

Italian lessons Hello everyone! It's been a while since I wrote something here. I've been busy with languages school... I'm learning Italian (finally)! I started two weeks ago and it's been great. My teacher's named Marco Tulio. He is not Italian but speaks almost like one. He also speaks Portuguese, French, English and German. I admire those people who are fluent in more than two foreign languages. My lessons have been quite easy, so far. The teacher speaks Italian all the time, he did it even the first day of classes. It hasn't been hard to follow what he says, because Italian is quite similar to Spanish. Nevertheless, there are some words that are hard to understand. I just can't figure them out! As for my classmates, well... there are a variety of people. There's an old lady who's very encouraged and enthusiatic, a boy who's into goth stuff, a girl who works for TetraPack, a lady whose grandparents were from Venece, etc. I get along with all of them. I'm really into Italian language, and I want to learn a lot from these classes. Cheers!

Articulo determinativo italiano Estamos estudiando L'articolo determinativo y tengo la siguiente duda. Por qué se usa el artículo LE con la palabra chiavi? Le chiavi chiave sería el singular, chiavi es el plural. No debería utilizarse el artículo gli? Estoy confundida con esta palabra y su artículo, podrían ayudarme? Gracias

Why do people write "am" instead of "I am"? I've seen many times that people write "Am" instead of "I am". When I first saw that, I thought it was incorrect, but now I believe it is not. For example, the other day, someone wrote a comment that said the following: "but am pointing out things that are actually correct" Why didn't he wrote "But I am pointing out...." ? I hope you can give me an explanation about this :) Thank you!

I got braces on Hello everybody. Well, as the title suggests, today I got my braces on. Many people claim that it hurts a lot, but I'm fine so far. I'm not feeling any pain at all. I'm really happy because I've always wanted to have a pretty smile and this is the second step needed to get the smile of my dreams. My dentist said that my teeth would hurt tomorrow or the next day, but I really hope they don't because I'm such a chicken when it comes to feel any kind of pain, haha. Have a nice day :)

Summer break The summer break's here and it means that there are children having fun everywhere you look. They're on summer vacation and all the streets are full of happy kids. Also, beaches and amusement parks are enjoying this season. But that happiness is only for children... because I'm still going to school. My break will begin on July 22nd but the good news is that I have a free month to enjoy watching Japanese films (I've got a long list of them. The first one is My Neighbour Totoro, then Mononoke Princess and the list goes on), studying English (or shall I say practicing English?) and meeting with old friends whom I haven't seen in a long time because of school duties. Also, August is such a great month because we celebrate my mom's birthday, my sister's birthday and mine too! And... guess what? I'm finally attending a real Italian class! It starts on August 5th. at the same school where I learnt English. Anyway, I just wanted to write something here. Hope you all have a great weekend. Cheers!
