I enjoyed our lesson today and look forward to the next one. I ask for more patience as I strive to speak, understand, and respond. I need time to process the new sounds and also the opportunity to speak them. It takes a lot to learn a new language and make sounds I am not used to. It also may take an additional moment or two before I can respond. It is not that I do not know the material, but rather that I just need an additional moment to think about what I am saying. I'm afraid I have a lot to learn about the geography of Afghanistan even now. I hope to look at a map soon and learn some of the major cities, though it remains difficult still. I liked the roleplay exercises the best. I think my ability with the language improved even today. I have some material to prepare now for the next class. Thank you again for your continued patience as I learn this new language, which is still so unfamiliar but I feel I am getting better with Mr. Hamid's help.

Mr. Hamid is an attentive, thorough, and conscientious instructor who took the time to review appropriate materials for future learning. It is clear he has subjected his pedagogy to critical thought, and I am excited to continue Dari/Farsi lessons with him.
