Hello. I'm Ngoc Hoang and you can call me ‘’Dylan’’ which is my English name. I have 10+ years of foreign language teaching experience. I have a great passion for language learning. I can speak Vietnamese and English and am learning Chinese. I am also a person who loves sports and travel. I love teaching and connecting with people from all over the world to share their cultures. Vietnamese teacher with +10 years of experience. I started by helping my friends learn Vietnamese, then loved sharing my language with other international friends. I have had an offline class for 5 years and since the Covid pandemic, I have switched to online learning. At the same time, I am looking for some methods of learning Chinese and Korean. I was introduced to Italki and it is an absolutely amazing online teaching-learning platform that I would love to be a part of. I believe with experience and a strong passion for languages. I am a person who loves learning languages. I know how important it is to have an engaging environment in which to learn languages. So my teaching style mainly focuses on speaking and conversation skills. I have conquered the English language by learning it as my mother tongue. and I have sought to simplify Vietnamese grammar so that it does not become a big challenge for learners. In addition, I believe that language speaks to the culture of that country so I always try to explain and share with students about Vietnamese culture and history through formations, stories, and experiences. I had a great first lesson with Dylan! His style is very natural for me. We started by talking about my background and reason for learning Vietnamese, and then a quiz to understand my level, and then vocabulary related to my interests and reasons for learning Vietnamese. I'm looking forward to more lessons!
He is still learning English, and my Vietnamese is very basic, so it takes some patience to communicate - for me it is fun and he is happy to repeat and use translators until we understand each other.

Had my first trial lesson today with Dylan. I thoroughly enjoyed the time. Dylan is effervescent, friendly, humorous and excited to help me with my learning journey. We spent time getting familiar with each other and him assessing my skill level. He gently pushed me forward into speaking in my target language, which is challenging for me… but it’s the step I must take. I’m looking forward to taking more lessons with Dylan.

Leaning Vietnamese with Hoàng was a really fun experience and he has been very helpful in improving my Vietnamese speaking abilities. His style is informal and he fosters an environment to make it easy to learn Vietnamese.
I highly recommend him to anyone interested in learning.
