Hello! I’m Khanh Linh, a Vietnamese teacher specializing in the Southern accent. With over 5 years of experience, I help adults communicate confidently in real-life situations—whether for travel, work, or love for the language! Teaching isn’t just my job; it’s my joy. Seeing students progress from hesitant beginners to fluent speakers fuels my passion every day. If you’ve struggled with Vietnamese (especially pronunciation or slang), let’s make learning fun and practical together! Learning languages in general and learning Vietnamese in particular isn't an easy thing. I've taught students from many countries such as Australia, the USA, UK, France, Korea, Japan, Canada, etc. Each student has different obstacles in learning Vietnamese. As a teacher, I always try to understand the difficulties of each student, work with students to solve problems as well as adjust teaching methods to work for each student. In class, I try to use Vietnamese as much as possible to practice reflexes for my students. I always try to improve every day to bring the best quality to the class. Before class, I will check your Vietnamese level to design the lesson that is suitable for your abilities and requirements. I try to create a fun, pleasant atmosphere as much as possible for the class because I believe it makes students feel comfortable to speak Vietnamese. I regularly correct students' pronunciation so that they can speak Vietnamese correctly. My lessons include practical and useful vocabulary, grammar, conversations that are helpful for you to communicate in everyday life. I don't try to teach students as much knowledge as I can. There are two things I look for in a language teacher.
1. Do the lessons have proper structure?
2. Is the teacher fun to talk to?
Khanh clearly checks off both boxes with her structured lessons and bubbly personality.
If you are looking for someone to teach you the Southern Vietnamese dialect, I highly recommend this teacher. It is important that I learn the Southern dialect as 99% of my Vietnamese friends in America are from the South.
Khanh's lessons have structure that make sense starting from pronunciation, then vocabulary, followed by reading, listening, speaking, and writing with the new vocabulary. All the lessons are bite-sized and I've never felt overwhelmed with the content.
I'm really happy I found this teacher as there are limited resources for the Southern dialect online.
I'm very pleased with my progress so far and many have been impressed with my new speaking abilities and pronunciation. I will be continuing my 1 lesson a week indefinitely. :D

Thật lòng, nói chuyện với em rất hay. Em ấy giúp mình chính sửa phát âm và nói rõ hơn. Em cũng dạy mình sao nói native hơn. Tập 1 đã rất hay. 10/10

Honestly, talking with her was a lot of fun! She helped me with pronunciation and speaking more clearly. She also helped me use words and phrases that are more natural and native sounding — a big plus (trust me). Our first lesson is a 10/10.
