My name is Santiago Serrano and I am from Bucaramanga, Colombia. Spanish is my mother tongue, although, I speak English at an intermediate level as well. By profession, I’m an accounting assistant, but I love to teach. I loved teaching since I was a child so I am accustomed to it. I love art, painting, photography, poetry and music.
Me llamo Santiago Serrano y soy de Bucaramanga, Colombia. El español es mi lengua materna, aunque también hablo inglés en un nivel intermedio. De profesión soy auxiliar contable, pero amo enseñar. Amo enseñar desde que soy niño así que estoy acostumbrado a hacerlo. Me encanta el Arte, la Pintura, la Fotografía, la Poesía y la Música.
As a teacher, I want to help my students learn and understand Spanish. I believe that with my help, they can grow to love what they are learning. I am adaptable, so I will use different teaching techniques and find one that best suits you. I am prepared for all my classes, however, if there is a question that I don’t know the answer to, I can guarantee you that I will do the research needed to find the answer.
Music is an essential tool that I use to help my students learn Spanish. By analyzing songs, not only will you develop a good vocabulary, you will also learn how to properly spell words and use grammar efficiently. When necessary, I will provide additional information that will help you review the topics found in the lesson. Always a pleasure to study with Santiago. He is a very patient teacher and goes the extra mile to make sure that his students understand both the large concepts and the small nuances. I would recommend him for anyone learning Spanish.

Santiago is a great teacher, I really appreciate his style. We practice a lot of conversation skills as we move through his planned lessons, which for me in particular, include a lot of listening comprehension. I feel comfortable to ask him any thing, no matter how small the topic.
Santiago is very patient and a super nice guy. He’s very good at explaining things, while keeping it in Spanish as to reinforce the listening skills. I highly recommend him as a professor. You won’t be disappointed.
