Hi, I’m Anggun!
I’m from Indonesia and currently based in the U.S. I speak Indonesian, English, and Spanish, and I love helping people connect through language.
I have taught in schools in Colombia (kindergarten, primary, and middle school), volunteered as an English teacher, and also introduced Indonesian culture through food and travel experiences. These opportunities helped me create lessons that are practical, enjoyable, and culturally rich.

Learning a new language is never easy but you should be proud of yourself for stepping out of your comfort zone. We all start from zero, and it’s normal to face obstacles along the way. That’s what makes you grow! I’ve taught both online and offline for different types of learners, and I’ve learned that everyone has their own unique way of learning. My goal is to adapt my teaching style so it fits you. Teaching abroad also gave me valuable experience ,sometimes I had to explain topics using the local language, which taught me how to keep things simple and clear. I focus on conversation and dialogue to build confidence, while also using textbooks or structured materials when needed. We can learn through movies, songs, daily life, or your personal interests to make lessons engaging and practical. I believe sharing stories is one of the best ways to improve fluency. Great first lesson with Anggun! Anggun taught me some of the basics of Indonesian, including the S-P-O-K sentence structure and the question words. We made some example sentences with the new vocabulary and even asked/answered some questions. Anggun was very relatable and her English was excellent. I enjoyed the lesson!

Talking to Anggun felt like I was talking to my close friends. She's so fun, nice, charismatic and knows how to tailor conversations for me! Completely lost track of time LOL. Cant wait for my next lesson!

Great lesson with Anggun! We learned some more about basic vocabulary. Anggun also showed a document about one of the traditional dances from her culture. She also explained how the root words can be modified with prefixes and suffixes to change the meaning. It was a fun lesson and very interesting learning about Anggun's culture!
