Hi! I'm Angel, a licensed English and Filipino (Tagalog) educator from the Philippines. I hold a Bachelor's Degree in English with 21 units completed in professional teacher education. My neutral accent in both languages and adaptable teaching methodology make me particularly effective in instructing beginner to intermediate learners, as well as those focusing on conversational fluency. I specialize in teaching teenagers and adults, creating a supportive learning environment, and making sure that my teaching approach is student-centered.
As an Italki tutor, I continue to explore languages through books, films, articles, and free conversation with students from diverse backgrounds.عني كمعلّم
I am an enthusiastic, kind, and patient teacher. I will make you feel comfortable in my class, so you don't have to worry. I will not pressure you because I know how difficult it is to learn a new language. My goal here is to impart my knowledge about the English and Filipino language without you feel intimidated. I will make sure that you will learn effectively during my class and be motivated. From the very first day, Angel made me feel comfortable and safe, just like a friend. She is very kind and patient, always taking time to explain everything clearly. I never feel rushed, and I can ask as many questions as I need without feeling embarrassed.
Because of her, I feel confident when speaking and writing in English. Thank you so much for that Angel, cause I was a really shy person when I speak English in the past.

Teacher Angel does a good job at meeting you where you are in your learning. She takes the time to review content from previous lessons before moving onto new topics to make sure things are going smoothly and work out any ideas that need improvement. She’s very sweet and is nonjudgmental! Looking forward to more lessons with her :)
