I'm very grateful for Saki san and my classes with her. My primary goal is speaking practice and Saki san is just so incredibly patient with me, even as I am clumsily bumbling my way through a sentence. I really appreciate her warmth, kindness, and ability to take everything in stride when I interject with a random question or bail partway through something I'm saying. Since starting lessons with Saki san, I feel much less nervous speaking in Japanese and a lot more willing to try to express my thoughts, even with mistakes.

Today, Saki san and I talked about my job and my upcoming travels. She was genuinely interested in what I had to say and made it comfortable for me to try getting my thoughts out. Even though I make lots of mistakes, Saki san offers such a safe space and is so encouraging.
