Mayo-san is an excellent teacher! She uses the Genki textbooks to teach an introduction to Japanese. She is incredibly patient and her mastery as a teacher really shines. She is always willing to answer questions and gives cultural context to Japanese phrases and sayings. I also appreciate that she starts off talking slowly then repeats the phrase at a more natural pace. That has helped me with listening comprehension. I would highly recommend Mayo-san as a teacher for people who are just starting out.
