A Ghanaian who grew up in Zambia. Fluent in English, French and Akan twi. Intermediately fluent in 2 other languages. Accountant by professional qualification. Photography, cuisine, sports, music, and meeting new people are among my favourite hobbies. I generally like to work with a structured plan but in as much as the goal is to obtain the desired results, I am aware that if lessons are not relatable, personalised and self-expressed then the overall goal of learning the language will not be met. I also understand that as a Teacher sometimes, its important to go with the flow or adjust the tempo to enable good learning. For my all my French and Akan Twi lessons, my focus will be to ensure that the basic requirements for beginner level are well mastered. Lessons for common day-to-day scenarios will be included to allow for early practical use of the language. Where the need arises text documents, audio and image files will be used to help facilitate the learning process and make it more interesting and engaging. The English lessons will mainly be centered around discussions and debates as a way of improving ones oral expression.

Great first lesson. Kwabena spent time explaining the process we will go through so I know what to expect. He also gave lots of context and was patient with my many questions! Looking forward to learning Twi with him :)

I have had one trial lesson and one full lesson with Kwabena so far, and I’m really enjoying learning Twi with him. He is super friendly, patient, and makes me feel very comfortable during lessons. The atmosphere is relaxed and encouraging, which makes it much easier to practice speaking. I’m looking forward to continuing my lessons with him!
