Hey there, my name is Elijah. I was born and raised in Germany, so German is my first language. However, I also grew up with English, because my father is an Englishman, and I am fluent in Welsh and Dutch as well. My interests include learning languages, chess, philosophy and history. Hallo, mein Name ist Elijah. Ich bin in Deutschland geboren worden und aufgewachsen, daher ist Deutsch meine Muttersprache. Ich bin aber auch mit Englisch aufgewachsen, da mein Vater Engländer ist und ich spreche ebenfalls fließend Walisisch und Niederländisch. Meine Interessen umfassen das Lernen von Sprachen, Schach, Philosophie und Geschichte.

Excellent first lesson with Elijah! As a complete beginner with zero German knowledge, I was a bit nervous with a first class and did not know what to expect, but Elijah made my first lesson enjoyable and stress-free. From the start, he took the time to ask how I prefer to learn and what my goals are, which showed he genuinely cares about tailoring the lessons. He came prepared with some short stories that we read together, translated, and discussed at a perfect pace for a total newbie. Whenever I got stuck or needed something explained again, he was very patient, clear, and encouraging. I’m already looking forward to my next class and can highly recommend Elijah to anyone starting German from scratch or wanting a supportive, well-prepared teacher.
