I grew up bilingual in Welsh and English, I also speak French and Polish, and I'm currently learning Basque. When I'm not learning or teaching languages, my interests include dancing, cooking and walking.عني كمعلّم
I'm an experienced teacher, both in school and one to one. I taught mathematics in secondary schools for two years, and I've also given private tuition in various subjects since then. I'm also a qualified Welsh/English translator, and the winner of the 2021 "Her Gyfieithu" competition for translating from French to Welsh.
I speak Welsh as it's spoken in North Wales, and whether you've just started learning Welsh or are ready for a new challenge, I'm keen to help you on your way. دروسي وأسلوب تدريسي
Learning languages as an adult has shown me the importance of independent study and one to one lessons. My aim is always to adapt the lessons to your needs as a learner, making sure you get enough support and practice for the specific skills you want to develop. I have been discussing Welsh poems in my speaking sessions with Robin, which has been really good. Not only do I get to read poems and discover Welsh poets, but also I improve every session.

I like lessons with Robin. He always answers my questions and explains Welsh patterns to me. What I really like about lessons with Robin is that he speaks Welsh during the whole lesson, and if I don't understand something, he tries to explain it in Welsh first before saying it in English. I like Robin's approach that we continuously speak Welsh rather than explaining grammar. I am now become confident enough to practice it with native speakers.

I can highly recommend Robin as a tutor. He challenges you but pitches his communication at the perfect level for your ability. He's clearly a passionate and experienced teacher.
