Hello! My name is Nicolas. I'm half English and half Greek. I was born in London and at the moment I am living in Greece. I have lived many years in both countries, traveling, studying, experiencing day to day life and embracing their rich culture. I feel privileged that I can identify with both of my nationalities and live at ease in any of the two. The past couple of years I have become infatuated with learning foreign languages, linguistics and language acquisition. I began my journey with learning Japanese and it has been a very interesting experience as an adult.عني كمعلّم
I have been teaching English as a foreign language in Greece for two years now. I have taught one to one, mostly with children and young teenagers, preparing them for their lower exams and helping with the conversational skills. I have also taught Historical European Martial Arts for two years now. I believe this enhanced my capabilities as an teacher as I had to work simultaneously with students of different levels and find solutions to any problems that they might have. دروسي وأسلوب تدريسي
I like to tailor my lessons to the student's specific needs. I have them focus on learning the language's structure so they can be more constructive with language. Great first lesson with Nick! I told Nick that I need speaking practice to improve my accuracy and fluency, and he was happy to ask me some questions, giving me the opportunity to do what I need the most. He helped when I struggled finding the right words and gave some feedback on my speaking skills. At the same time, he always let me finish what I was saying, keeping the conversation smooth, even if I had made some mistakes here and there. Thanks Nicolas!!
