Hi! My name is Carlos, I'm 31 years old and I'm from Coimbra. I graduated in Management in the University of Coimbra. I'm currently working as a salesman, selling telecommunication's products. I did volunteering work in hostels in London and Malaga. I did it because I love meeting people from other countries with different cultures. So volunteering in hostels was a great way to experience that. In my free time I like reading, watching movies and series, stand-up comedy, cooking, eating what I cooked (that's the best part!), doing yoga, exercising, trekking in the mountains, swimming, spending time with friends and family. All simple things but that give me a lot of joy.

عني كمعلّم

As a teacher I always try to make the process of learning fun and enjoyable to the students. I customize the lessons depending on what are the goals that the students want to achieve. Because in the end, their goals become my goals.

دروسي وأسلوب تدريسي

I use methods that allows students to learn the language as natives do, using videos, audios and writing-form materials. That way they learn the language as a whole and don't focus too much on specific parts like grammar or vocabulary. Unless that's their target goal, meaning improving grammar by instance. In that case, and in any other one, the lessons and exercises will be customized to achieve that specific goal.

Carlos was very encouraging and professional in his guidance, while always being on top of it whenever I mispronounced a word or made a grammatical error, which is something I very much appreciated. He has a soft touch and an understanding disposition with careful listening abilities: two very important qualities for being a good teacher or tutor. Muito Obrigado!

Today was my very first lesson in Portuguese and my first lesson with Carlos. It’s obvious that he’s extremely easy to talk to he takes his time and has patience and a Very cool guy just like all the reviews said I’m looking forward to many more lessons.

Carlos is a great teacher. I’m just beginning to learn Portuguese. He’s perfect for me. He’s introducing me very carefully and slowly he is very easy to talk to and very easy to understand because he’s a good guy and also has perfect English :-) so I feel lucky I picked him to be my first teacher.
