Hei!
I'm Alexandra from Finland. I'm a native Finnish and Russian speaker with 5+ years of teaching experience. Combining my background in psychology, healthcare, and business (MBA), I provide a supportive, patient environment to help you overcome the fear of speaking and build real-world confidence.
In my conversation-based lessons, we focus on activating your skills for daily and professional settings. In our first class, we'll map out your goals and interests to make learning exciting and effective! I can use English to explain complex words.
P.S. I open new slots every Wednesday evening for the following week. I teach regularly every week. You are warmly welcome to my class! 😊
I am fluent in Finnish and Russian, both spoken and written, as both are my native languages.
I consider myself a very patient and open-minded person with good listening skills.
Do you feel nervous or afraid when you speak Finnish? Are you seeking a friendly environment for conversation? I’m here to support and guide you through the language hurdles you’re encountering. Together, we’ll ensure your language learning journey is as seamless as possible!
I teach mainly through conversation practice, so I would like you to talk, think and speak in Finnish or Russian. I can also use English to describe more difficult words / expressions.

Alexandra is a really good tutor, she adapts herself to the student's needs regardless of the level. She finds always engaging topics to discuss and she is ready to answer your questions at any moment. She is very skilled also for more advanced learners because she always comes prepared to the lessons with suitable activities (and this is something that I usually struggled with other tutors which were often improvising on the spot). I am looking forward to continuing my lessons with her! :)

Alexandra brings positivity and enthusiasm to each and every lesson, which makes it an absolute joy to learn Finnish with her. She's kind and patient, so it's easy to practice speaking without worrying about mistakes. She either has an answer, or finds one, for even the most random Finnish questions I have :)
