I live with my family in the United Kingdom. I have had an interesting and varied career in senior management and local politics. I hold an MBA and a TEFL Certificate. My hobbies include listening to and playing music (I always wanted to be a rock star!), flying aeroplanes (I have a pilot licence), reading and walking and generally keeping fit.
I am a qualified TEFL teacher and have taught English to students in a number of countries both online and in person. I am very relaxed and flexible in my approach. I really enjoy getting to know my students and am quite happy to talk about my professional life and hobbies. I am happy working with beginners through to upper-intermediate students. I can specialise in Business English (utilising my management experience and MBA), Aviation English (ICAO 4), IELTS exam preparation, or simply to improve speaking, writing, reading and listening skills.
I like to adapt my lessons to suit the individual. We all learn at different rates and in different ways. I use a range of resources and techniques and like a mixture of structure and free conversation. I am equally happy focussing on a grammatical point, helping to expand student vocabulary, or simply helping a student build conversational confidence.الشهادات
TEFL - The TEFL Org - 2021I have learnt and practised the skills of English language teaching over 120 hours of online and classroom-based tuition. The course included 30 hours of grammar, 50 hours of teaching methodology, 20 hours of online teaching practice, and an intensive classroom weekend working with other students and a teacher.
