Thanks to Annelies for another great lesson! I find it very helpful how she gives me a chance to correct my own mistakes first. Sometimes I know what I did wrong when I have a chance to think about it, but other times it's a good learning opportunity for me if I can't recognize the mistake. It's definitely helping me in live conversations because I remember those errors, and I'm getting better at preventing them! Highly recommend Annelies to those looking to level up their Flemish/Dutch!

I'm always impressed with how Annelies remembers every part of our conversation, including areas where I struggled to think of the right grammar or the right word. She is good about bringing those instances back up to talk through how to say the sentence correctly. Had a great lesson just focusing on conversation skills. Annelies makes conversations easy and yet she diligently takes notes in the background for review at the end. Annelies keeps the conversation going effortlessly. She incorporates interesting discussion topics that help me learn not only the language, but also the local culture. After only a handful of lessons, I feel much more confident speaking and I'm now starting to catch some of my own mistakes as they happen. I had a great lesson with Annelies! She is very encouraging and professional. She does a great job of noting your mistakes and bringing them up during gaps in the conversation. She gave me a chance to identify my own mistakes in writing first, which I found really useful - then she would explain the grammar rules so that I knew how to do better in the future.
