My name is Gina (29). I am a South African (with a neutral accent), who has been teaching adults and children for the past 8 years. I grew up in the restaurant industry with a family that is culturally mixed, my father having Italian-Chilean roots and my mother having Irish-South African roots, so it's made me culturally rich and it has taught me good people skills. Kindness and consideration have helped me to be an enthusiastic and effective teacher. I love the diversity in all things, that's why traveling, being outdoors and people are so close to my heart. I am an adventure junkie so I'm always up for a good time, whether it's riding motorbikes, jumping off cliffs, or going on safaris.عني كمعلّم
As a TEFL teacher with over eight years of experience, I take great pride in helping students reach their language goals. I personalize my lessons by understanding each student’s interests, strengths, and challenges. My classes are engaging, supportive, and paced to suit individual needs. My lessons are carefully planned based on each student’s needs and interests. I use a range of course materials and textbooks to design effective and engaging sessions. I enjoy being expressive and incorporating visuals to ensure students clearly understand the content.
My teaching approach is highly interactive and student-centered. I use methods such as role-play, open discussions, textbook exercises, self-correction, and educational games to keep lessons dynamic and effective.

WaitressI started working in my family restaurant from a very young age. Working in the hospitality industry allowed me to build strong people skills. It taught me how to work and get along with different personalities, which I apply in my lessons.

PromotorWorking as a promotor, I learnt how to encourage people into buying the product I was promoting. Today, I use this skill in my classroom to encourage my students to achieve their goals in the English language.
2017 - 2018
ManagerWorking as a manager taught me to be diligent and punctual. It also taught me to become a good problem-solver. This has added to my professionalism as a teacher and it has helped me to be creative in my problem-solving with my students. When I have a student that has difficulty understanding or communicating in class, my experience with problem-solving helps me to help my student overcome such difficulties.
2015 - 2015
Internship- TeacherThis experience taught me how to work with children and how to be patient with my students. Working in person, in a classroom with children taught me how to engage them and how to keep their concentration.
2015 - 2016
Au PairAu Pairing taught me to be creative and flexible but also structured to a certain extend. This has helped me in my classes. Understanding that people are individuals and that one method of teaching doesn't work for everyone. This is why I love to tailor my lessons to my students.
2018 - 2019
Online English TeacherI gained experience with teaching professional adults at Brentphone. I learnt how to prepare my students for interviews and help them with conversational skills in the workplace as well as in everyday life.

Online English TeacherI gained experience with IELTS Preparation and Business English at this company.
2017 - 2018
Online English TeacherThe first online English company I worked for taught me how to teach children on a virtual platform. I learnt how to use TPR effectively and how to change or add class materials to my lessons to make my lessons more interesting and enjoyable for my students.
