Hi! I’m Mariya, originally from Kazakhstan and now living in Vienna, where I’m learning German. Russian is my native language, and I also speak English (B2, IELTS certified).
I have friends from many different countries, and I’ve learned how exciting it is to connect through language and culture.
I studied Documentation Management and Archival Science, which helped me develop a deep understanding of the Russian language. Its structure, style, and how people communicate in different contexts.
For me, learning a language is not about rules - it’s about real connection and in my free time I enjoy traveling, watching movies, and exploring new cultures, all things I’d love to talk abعني كمعلّم
For me, the most important part of learning a language is speaking - just talking, making mistakes, and learning from them.
During our lessons, we’ll focus mainly on conversation, but if you want, I can also help you learn new words and give you small, simple exercises to practice.

My lessons are relaxed and focused on real communication. I believe that speaking is the best way to learn, so we’ll talk about everyday topics like travel, culture, food, or movies, whatever you enjoy.
You can decide what we discuss, and I’ll guide the conversation to help you improve naturally.
Sometimes I’ll share useful phrases or small tasks to expand your vocabulary.

Great lesson with Maria! We talked a lot about the Christmas and New Year holidays in Kazakhstan and the US. Maria told me about the different traditions about wearing certain colors and what type of clothes people wear. Maria is very good at giving me time to complete my sentences. She also can tell if I don't understand something she said and gives me a chance to ask about it. I really enjoy Maria's personality and have fun lessons with her!

Great lesson with Maria! We talked about snow and winter weather. Maria had a presentation ready about Christmas and New Year's Day. The presentation was interesting and we had entertaining discussion about the holidays. Learning with Maria is really helping my listening and speaking!

Great lesson with Maria! We started with small talk about shopping for groceries and for Christmas gifts. Maria had a presentation ready all about food. We talked about eating habits and about the food we like/don't like. I learned a lot of new vocabulary. Maria does a really nice job updating our shared document with new and useful vocabulary and sentences. She always helps me out when I don't know a word and is easygoing when I make a mistake!
