Yuya sensei is a kind and thoughtful teacher - he works to make conversation interesting and appropriate to your level, and he is very clear, helpful and encouraging. Thanks so much!

This is my second review as of now. I have learned so much from Yuya that I can’t believe how much I have grown in my Japanese speaking skills. Being able to speak in the language I am learning has helped tremendously in my journey. Yuya is great at leading the conversation while helping correct mistakes along the way. Never once have I been scared to try new grammar or vocabulary when talking with Yuya. Every lesson I learn something new and gain practice on what I learned before. I can’t wait to meet with him again. Thank you Yuya!

Today Yuya Sensei reviewed the potential verb form with me. He also had me practice reading the dialogs from Lesson 13 in the Genki textbook. After I did a full reading on my own, he had me repeat after him one sentence at a time to help me improve my pronunciation. There were a few words I struggled with throughout the lesson and he was patient in helping me understand each one as we progressed. We finished off with one of the practice portions of Lesson 13 and then he assigned me homework from the Genki workbook at my request. Overall, Yuya Sensei has been a great teacher so far and I look forward to continuing to work with him over the coming weeks and months!

I've had lessons with Yuya for a while now. He is a very patient and motivating teacher. He also helped me prepare for JLPT exam, which I also passed. He knows how to adapt to different levels and he's been very helpful until now. I would definitely recommend him.
