Olá, pessoal! Hola a todos! Hello, everyone! My name is Thomás, I'm 34 years old and I've been a Portuguese teacher for over 13 years now. I was born in the south of Brazil and have lived in different cities of my country. I've also worked and studied in London and Lisbon.
I'm passionate about arts, psychology, philosophy, mental and physical health, languages and I believe that meeting new people is a great way to grow and expand. I can play the guitar, I'm laerning to play the keyboard, I love making collages, singing and cooking. In addition to teaching Portuguese, I'm also a Spanish and English teacher.عني كمعلّم
Apart from Portuguese, I can speak Spanish and English fluenty and I have some knowledge of Italian and Japanese. I'm very patient, dedicated, attentive and I'll do my best to make you feel comfortable and positive about your learning process. I have worked in language schools and at university and have had language-related work experiences abroad as well. I'm a very curious person and I believe in organic learning. To me, tailor-made classes are the most effective way to motivate students, so I'll be very interested in getting to know who you are, what your hobbies and difficulties are and how you like to learn a language. I try my best to use authentic materials and spark your curiosity. If you're into it, I'll be more than happy to discuss aspects of Brazilian culture. I can teach all levels and ages, prepare you to take the Certificate of Proficiency in Brazilian Portuguese (Celpe-Bras) and discuss Academic Portuguese as well.

Portuguese TeacherI spent two years having teaching seminars every week, while I was taking my Master's Degree, and teaching Portuguese to foreign students. I learned a lot about creating materials, planning classes, solving problems and encouraging and assessing students. I was able to prepare students to take the Certificate of Proficiency in Brazilian Portuguese (Celpe-Bras) and discuss a lot of aspects of Brazilian culture in class.

I'm thoroughly enjoying my Portuguese lessons with Thomas. He is very attentive, knowledgeable and makes classes entertaining and pleasant. Highly recommend having Thomas as a teacher!

I'm loving my Portuguese lessons with Thomás and learning a ton. I was blown away by how much thought and care he put into a customized homework lesson – it was full of exercises about grammar and pronunciation, all based around a particular song I'm translating for my YouTube channel. Today we chatted about things going on in my life in Portuguese, which was great conversational practice. I highly recommend Thomás if you want to learn Brazilian Portuguese.
