Hi! My name is Yukari. I am a native Japanese speaker.
I learned English in England at a language school for about two years. I made a lot of friends from literally all over the world !
I got married to an American and I immigrated to the States with our son in 2004. I've lived in Arizona, California and am currently living in Texas.عني كمعلّم
Through teaching my son Japanese, I became very patient and I noticed that for some reason, some words or phrases cannot stick in your head. You might be embarrassed to ask me the same questions over and over but please don't be! That happens to everyone. It's just a part of the process for learning a new language!

My teaching style is relaxed and structured, focusing on building a solid foundation for beginners. You should know hiragana and katakana before joining, but I provide original materials with pictures and furigana (small hiragana showing how to read kanji). With weekly lessons and consistent review, students can start speaking basic Japanese in 6–8 months.
If you already know some Japanese, I’ll help you refine your skills, improving both polite (敬語) and casual conversation. My lessons are interactive and stress-free, tailored to your goals. Whether you're learning formal or casual speech, I adjust the lessons to suit your needs. I look forward to helping you on your language journey!5.0

Yukari-sensei is a very good teacher. She is so patient and encouraging when I forget a word or need to say something slowly. I always learn something new and she is very helpful in showing me how words and phrases are used in everyday conversation.

It's been a while since I left a written review, but today was another great lesson by Yukari sensei! Has her material all ready for the lesson, and she is very flexible when I have questions or want to move ahead of schedule. Looking forward to next week!

I noticed that I still needed some guidance in English when having conversations in Japanese, so I was looking for a teacher who is also able to speak English as well as Japanese.
Yukari-sensei managed to give me minimal English pointers as I am learning those small phrases that are so important to keeping a conversation going.
She was patient and motivating while keeping me on track. Great first trial lession and already booked the next one.
